Health issues

 Health issues

I have been trying to figure out how to explain what I have been dealing with this last week.  On Tuesday, I had a scare.  I was eating supper when I started feeling funny.  It felt like my heart was jumping out of my chest.  It was scary.  So, we called Faucette Fire Department.  The fire fighter checked me out.  He said I can call for an ambulance or what do you want to do.

I asked Dad if he drive me to Chapel Hill hospital - Hillsborough Campus.  He said, yes let's go.  When I got there,  I went directly back to getting my vitals done.  I got hooked up on the EKG.  Then I had to go out in the lobby.  And I waited until at least a hour or more.

I got called back & hooked up to so many machines.  While the nurse was in the room,  my heart was just a racing.  My pulse rate would go from 50 to 115.  Then the doctor came in & he was checking out the machine.  He asked are you feeling that.  I said, not really.

He said, you are showing signs of tachycardia.  Which is, A rapid heart beat that may be regular or irregular, but is out of proportion to the age and level of exertion or activity.  A fast heart rate can have causes that aren't due to underlying disease.  Examples include exercise, fear, anxiety, stress, anger or love.

Now, I have to watch what I eat.  I have to write down when I have a spell.  It feels funny when it happens.  I have to go to the Cardiologist on January 29, to see what they say.  Please say a prayer for me, while the doctors figure out what is going on.  I will keep everyone posted.

My BIG heart!

My BIG Heart!

Many People don't know that much about me.  And wonder why I have such a BIG heart.  I have always wanted to help other people.  When I was younger, we lived in a older home my Great Grandparent's home.  We had people that helped us, a lot with food and other items.

When we got older, it was a little harder.  We still had trouble.  Then several years ago, we found ourselves living in a hotel (2 times).
  • The first time we got behind on our bills and Dad lost his job.
  • The second time we were evicted from where we were staying.
While staying in the hotel, we were making it paycheck to paycheck.  So we had to find extra help friends gave me a list to some food pantries, that are located at local churches.

***People may think they are goodie, goodie to ask for help from churches or anywhere.  If you need help don't hesitate to ask.  People are out there and want to help.

Then while staying in the hotel the second time.  One of Timmy's buddies parents found out that we were homeless and living in a hotel.  They contacted Timmy they wanted to by us a house.  And all we had to do was to pay it forward.  I'm trying to say that if you need anything or any help, if I have it I will try to help.

***Take it from someone who hates to ask for help.  It stinks and sucks.***

***We wouldn't be where we are today with or without help.***

Year 2020 in Review

Year 2020 in Review

People may say 2020, has been a CRAZY year for them.  Well it has been for us.  January & February, was okay for us.  Then March rolled around with the Covid-19 pandemic started.  Kaleb was out of school. Dad was closed for a couple of days.  Timmy & I was out for a couple of days. Then Dad, Timmy & I went back to work.  We were classified as Essential Workers.  Dad went back to driving the school bus to deliver the food to the local kids.  Timmy got to go back to work.  I went back to work at the daycare, because we had essential worker kids.

Then in April/ May - Heather had a stroke that affected the right side of her brain.  Which I think is the short-term memory loss.  She is like a 2 year old child that has tantrums.  There are several different sides that is not being shown.  The weird thing is there were no signs or symptoms.

In June - we had a drive-by Birthday parade for Kaleb, which included Alamance County Sheriff, Burlington Dare Officer, Faucette Fire Department, Alamance County EMS & Medic 3.  Kaleb had a ball.

Then In July,  I had a wake up call by my doctor.  She told me that she didn't like my numbers.  So In August I asked a friend for help and her name is Kristy.  She started helping me out.  I started out at 358 lbs.  Then I started walking and being active.  However my knees are not letting me workout.  I am a down to 322 lbs.

Then next couple of months was crazy.  Then in November Dad was confirmed positive with covid-19 & double pneumonia.  So we all were in quarantine for 14 days. Then I ended up going for a MRI on my knee.  So the results came back in & its a slight tear in my meniscus and arthritis (uncle Arthur).  So here it is 2 days before Christmas.  I went an got a shot or cortisone. But no fluid was taken off my knee.

Then on Christmas Eve, Heather went to the hospital.  She had a fever of 104 to 105.  Come to find out she had a infection in her leg.  Now here it is 2 days before New Years Eve.  And on December 30, I went to the hospital for a chemical burn on my pointer finger .  And it hurts like a Mother.

See ya, 2020!  Hello 2021!
